Christmas Countdown | Week Eight

Woah, it’s the last full week of November! Where has the time gone? There are 5 weeks left of the Christmas Countdown. Let’s get to it.

Week Eight – November 20th to 26th

❄️Write cards. If you’re the type of person who can write out all the Christmas cards in one fell swoop, and you prefer to do it that way, then, by all means, have at it. If you’re more like me and can only write a few at a time then do that. Do what you can each day to get them done by the end of the month.

❄️Start posting items that have a long way to go.

❄️Stock up on medicines. Check your supply of medications and order any that you’ll need to replenish over the festive season.

❄️Clean out the fridge and freezer, if you haven’t already. You’re likely going to need all the space you can get. It’s time to get rid of the old foods that are past their dates, clean the refrigerator, and defrost the freezer.

❄️Stockings and Christmas Eve boxes. If you do them then start looking for little things to put inside them.

TIP: I buy a few things at a time and keep putting them in the stocking until it’s almost full. This way you won’t find yourself with too few items and need to frantically find some more or too many items that you now don’t know what to do with.

❄️Keep shopping, wrapping and labelling as you go. Make sure you stick to the list and budget.

❄️Finish your deep cleaning. This is the last week of deep cleaning. Finish whatever project you’re working on and STOP. You’re home looks and feels so much better than it did before we started. Good enough is good enough.

Next time, in Christmas Countdown | Week Nine, we get to my favourite part of all the Christmas prep. Be sure to check back in with me then.
