Welcome To The Health Hub

Last time in the health hub I was feeling unwell for pretty much the whole week, so I couldn’t go to the Slimming World weigh-in. I weighed and measured myself at home with surprisingly good results, which I’m taking with a pinch of salt because I was using my home scales and not the ones at the group.

This week I’m starting with feeling much better, but still under the weather. I’m hoping that over the next few days I improve enough to be able to start doing body magic again. At the very least, I intend to plan my meals more thoughtfully.

That said, we have a Halloween party on Tuesday which I know will be “syn-full”.

Wednesday

Had a headache for most of today and a bit of a sore throat. Still much better than I was just a few days ago though.

For my body magic today I decorated for Halloween with my youngest daughter.

Finally felt well enough to get in some exercise today. I did a half-hour dance session with Sarah Placencia, The Fitness Marshall and Mylee dance.

Syns – 42.5 😱 – Woah! This takes me 28 syns over my weekly allowance! I knew the party foods and temptations would be bad, but I didn’t think this much. Looks like I’ve got my work cut out for me next week.

Week Six Progress

Due to the restrictions of Covid-19, we’re unable to go trick-or-treating for Halloween this year. Instead, we’re having a couple of family/friends’ kids over for a little spooky party. Which is great, but it does mean that I’m missing the weigh-in at Slimming World group for a second week in a row. I’ve weighed and measured at home, but it won’t be my “official” SW weight.

Weight – 2lbs loss (after going back to group I discovered this was actually a maintain).

BMI – 0.3 loss

Body fat % – 0.4% loss

Waist – maintained

Hips – maintained

Thighs – maintained

I feel great with this weight loss. Especially as it means I’m under the stone bracket I was in before, and it means I’ve lost more than half a stone since starting Slimming World 6 weeks ago. However, as it’s not my “official” SW weigh-in I’m feeling a little reserved about celebrating this milestone yet. Once I get back to the group and get my half-stone loss certificate I’m sure I’ll be over-the-moon.

Next week I’m planning to do some more intense body magic, just to step it up a little. Also, I want to try some more recipes from the Free Food A to Z recipe book.
