Mid-Year Review

Mid-Year Review

What the what? Halfway through the year already! Each month I’ve shared with you the goals that I’ve been working on, so I figured I’d walk you through my mid-year review. Just to check-in with how things are going, what’s working and what isn’t, and how best to move forward. If you missed any of those monthly goal posts I’ll have them linked down below.

So, let’s get to it.

Reflection

If you read my January 2020 goals post you’ll see that I listed my main goals for the year there. They were…

Be happier with my body

This is an ongoing one, but I can already put a tick by it. I am happier with my body, even just half-way through the year. I’ve lost inches and body fat at a sustainable rate, I feel healthier, my skin feels better and I’m generally feeling so much better with myself.

Keep up with my bullet journal

I’ve checked in my journal almost every day. In fairness, there’s not much to do with it currently as I’m home-schooling and not working whilst we quarantine due to the CoronaVirus

Start regular bike rides with the kids

Thanks to the aforementioned virus this one has been easy to find time for. We go a couple of times a week on average.

Focus more on the blog

I have been focusing more on the blog, where I can. The problem is the children need to use my computer for home-school work at the moment, so it’s difficult for me to find the chance to write for an extended amount of time.

Finish decluttering and redecorating

I’ve only got a couple of cupboards left to declutter, so this is going really well. Also, I’ve managed to touch up or redecorate two-thirds of my home soo far.

Clear debts

Again, this is a work in progress that is going smoothly.

Be better prepared

Big ol’ tick for this one too. I’ve been sending cards and gifts within plenty of time for events and birthdays and planning for these things in advance.

Review

For the second half of the year, I intend to kick things up a notch, so I can be sure to crush those goals in the next 6 months.

My body

I’d like to be within a healthy weight range. Also, it would be great to finish a couch to 5k.

Bullet Journal

Keep up with tracking my goals and life within my journal – in case you’re interested, I use a Scribbles That Matter book.

Quality Time With The Kids

Keep going on regular bikes rides. Make game and film nights more frequent. Also, do more outdoor activities together now that the Summer sun is here.

The Blog

Figure out a schedule for the usage of the computer, so the kids can do their school work, and I can also write blog posts.

Our Home

Finish decluttering and spring cleaning. Also, finish redecorating.

Debts

I want to clear all my debts by the end of this year. In addition to that, I should really start saving.

Be Ready

Keep being prepared for events and birthdays within plenty of time.

Did you do a mid-year review to see how you’re getting on with the goals you set at the beginning of the year? Is it time to revisit, or maybe even rewrite them? Let us know in the comments section.
